Love Letters

Ethen is in 2nd grade, and Kyle is in Kindergarten. Luckily their lunch hours are at 2 different times. On Friday's I try to take each of them out for Lunch, as I find that is the easiest time to get one on one time with each of them. It makes for a busy Friday, but both they and I love it.

After taking Ethen out to lunch today, he came home from school so happy. He told me that he wanted to make a surprise for me and went in his room and shut the door. About 30 minutes past, and then he gave me this. One of the sweetest letter I recieved him...To mom from Ethen. Thank you for being my mom! I love you! Ahhh....so sweet.

After Kyle saw Ethen's great idea he made me a note as well. He is just learning to write and read. He only knows a words. THis is what is card ended up saying....Mom made Kyle....
He met to say "To Mom...Made by Kyle." But it got a chuckle out of me. Love those boys!

Friendship

Living here in Arkansas, far away from family, and living inside a small branch, friendship took on a new meaning. Before, family was always a few steps away and I could always rely on their help. But being here life took on a whole new set of circumstances. So, I am so grateful I met Kimberly Wright. Luckily, our children were roughly the same ages. And luckily, she perused to have a friendship with me, while I was trying to be independent. She taught how friendship works, that a true friend is like family. She helped me in anytime of need I had. Plus - created many fun memories as well. Hope one day I can be the friend to others as she was to me.

-painted Landen and Rachel's room
- girl parties
- fun memories for the kids
- trying new things
- offering to help

What a fun lady! Thanks Kim!

From the mouth of babes...

Today on the way to school I hear Ethen say."Kyle, you don't need to ask mom any more questions, I am as smart as her."

Last night as Ethen and Kyle were playing, Kyle got his feelings hurt and came running to me in tears. He said"Mom Ethen is being mean to me, can you play with me?" How do you turn that down?

Last night at dinner Rachel said "Can I have some more prickilies?" Meaning Broccoli. And at lunch time she said... "I want tickles on my sandwich."

And to top the day off Landen smiled at me...Yeah!
